Princess Kate is rocking in her royal role. Just three months after inheriting the title of Princess of Wales which previously belonged to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana. The royal family has recently celebrated a Christmas Carol organized by the Princess. The new title given to Catherine previously was given to her husband Prince William as well. After the death of Queen Elizabeth II the 74-year-old Charles, Prince of Wales became King.
Princess Kate has been made an honorary Colonel of the Irish Guards
As per the Evening Standard, the 40-year-old royal has been bestowed the title of an honorary Colonel of the Irish Guards. Kate’s husband Williams, Prince of Wales also has had this title for almost 10 years. The prince was the Irish Guards’ first Royal Colonel.
As per the outlet, the Prince of Wales will have the title of Colonel of the Welsh Guards from his father King Charles. Meanwhile, Charles’s Wife Queen Consort Camilla will get the title of the Colonel of the Grenadier Guards. The role was previously filed by Prince Andrew. However, in January he was stripped of military affiliations and royal patronages.
Moreover, the palace announced that on June 17, 2023, the King’s birthday parade, formally known as Trooping the Colour, will be held. This will be held six weeks after the coronation ceremony. This event will have over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians. King Charles and his son William will be riding on horseback in celebration of the armed forces.
The Late Queen was honored at the Royal family’s recent Christmas carol celebration on December 15. The King and Queen Consort were joined by Williams, Kate, and their eldest children Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7. Their youngest son Prince Louis was absent from the event.
