Priscilla Presley paid tribute to her late daughter Lisa Marie Presley on her 55 Birthday. Three weeks before on January 12 the singer passed away. Priscilla shared her thoughts in a statement on her daughter’s birthday. Lisa Marie was the only child of the King of Rock & Roll Elvis Presley. Priscilla takes a vow to protect her grandchildren, Riley Keough,33, and twin girls Finley and Harper Lockwood,14. Lisa Marie shares Riley with her first husband Danny Keough and her twins with her fourth husband Michael Lockwood.
Priscilla Presley will protect her three grandchildren and keep our family together
The 77-year-old said, “Today would have been Lisa’s 55th birthday. My wish is to protect my three grandchildren and keep our family together.”
She continues, “From the first moment I held Lisa in my arms, I’ve protected, loved and guided her, as I have my son. Our hearts are broken, and I am having to learn to live without my only daughter.”
she also added, “We truly love all of you, and we feel your prayers. Thank you so much for caring so deeply for our family.”
Her attorney questions the validity of Lisa Marie’s will. It names Riley and her younger sisters as the successors of their mother’s trust. On January 28, the court documents said Priscilla and former business manager Barry Siegel were given the title of co-trustees. The will is written in 1993 and amended in 2010. The amended will includes Lisa’s children Riley Keough, twin girls Finley, and Harper Lockwood, and late son Benjamin Keough.
Presley’s petition alleged the “issues surrounding the authenticity and validity” of the amendment. In change will the later singer “misspells her mother’s name” and her handwriting “appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature.”
