Priscilla Presley Responds To The Legal Battle On Daughter Lisa Marie’s Trust. The ex-wife of Elvis Presley recently filed a petition doubting the validity of her late daughter Lisa Marie’s will. Elvis Presley’s only child Lis Marie passed away on January 12 at the age of 54. Meanwhile, at the time of her daughter’s passing Priscilla shared a statement. It says, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”
Priscilla requested the public ignore the noise
The 77-year-old filed a petition against the 2016 amended initial position of co-trustee to Lisa Marie’s two oldest children Riley Keough and Benjamin Keough. However, Benjamin sadly died by suicide in 2020. In her recent statement to the E-News, “I loved Elvis very much as he loved me. Lisa is a result of our love. For anyone to think anything differently would be a travesty of the family legacy and would be disrespectful of what Elvis left behind in his life.”
Presley requested the public avoid the noise. He said, “As I have always been there for Elvis’ legacy, our family and the fans. I will continue to forge a pathway forward with respect, honesty, dignity, integrity and love.”
As per the actress, she and former business manager Barry Siegel were the co-truster in the Living will of her late daughter in 1993. It was amended in 2013. However, after Lisa Marie’s passing, she found out there is another amendment made in 2016. In the 2016 amendment, she and Siegel were replaced with Lisa’s daughter Riley and late son Benjamin.
Priscilla pointed out the spelling mistake of her name. Moreover, the late singer’s handwriting “appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature.”Apart from this, she also didn’t receive a copy of the 2016 document.
