King Charles III is overjoyed by the love. After Buckingham Palace announced his cancer diagnosis on February 5, the monarch has temporarily postponed his duty to begin his surgery. Now his wife Camilla has finally broken the silence on her husband’s health. During a public outing on February 8, the monarch’s wife reveals how she has been doing since the diagnosis. Check out the complete details of this story.
Camilla said the King is very touched by all of the letters and messages
As per the CBS News, the queen said that her husband is doing “extremely well under the circumstances.”
Moreover, the 75-year-old is “very touched by all of the letters and messages the public have been sending from everywhere,” and also finds the well wishes “very cheering.”
The king who was previously married to the late Lady Diana Spencer was last spotted out with Camilla on Feb. 6, while travelling from Clarence House to Buckingham Palace.
The same day, his and Diana’s second son Prince Harry also visited him and reportedly stayed in the United Kingdom for 24 hours.
The King’s illness also might have a silver lining as royal correspondent Sharon Carpenter believes, “Potentially this could be a moment of healing for father and son and perhaps brother and brother as well,I think when it comes down to it, this is a family that’s certainly had their differences and some deep divides, but they do love each other. I think that comes out in a number of ways.”
Meanwhile, Charles’s eldest son and heir Prince William also addressed his father’s condition on February 7 at London’s Air Ambulance Charity Gala.
The 41-year-old whose wife Princess Cathrine is also recovering from an abdominal surgery said at the event, “I’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you also for the kind messages of support for Catherine and for my father, especially in recent days.It means a great deal to us all.”
The Prince of Wales also jokes, “It’s fair to say the past few weeks have had a rather ‘medical’ focus, so I thought I’d come to an air ambulance function to get away from it all!”
While about the event the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram page noted that it was all about “honouring amazing people doing incredible things in our communities up and down the country.”
