Rachel Zegler opened up about the criticisms she faced after being cast as the Disney princess Snow White. The actress was trolled online in the upcoming live-action adaptation. Moreover, the netizens criticize her casting because of her ethnicity. It looks quite similar like Halle Bailey’s trolled for cast in The Little Mermaid. The actress took to Twitter on Saturday where she shared numerous throwback photos of her childhood dressing as the princess.

The 22-year-old wrote while sharing numerous throwback photos of her childhood dressing as the princess, “Extremely appreciative of the love I feel from those defending me online. But please don’t tag me in the nonsensical discourse about my casting. I really, truly do not want to see it.”
“So, I leave you w these photos!” the actress added. “I hope every child knows they can be a princess no matter what.”
The upcoming show White adaptation is being directed by Amazing Spider-Man and (500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb. Meanwhile, the script is written by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson.
Songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will write the songs for this film. They are famous for writing the lyrics for songs for Disney’s 2019 remake of Aladdin.
Moreover, the sources confirm Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot has been cast as the Evil Queen in the film.
Previously, last November Gadot also shared her excitement to be in this film. “I’m excited about the fact that this is, like, an iconic character. I’m excited to create an iconic villain character in my own voice,” The Heart Of Stone star raved. “I’m very, very, very excited and looking forward to playing the Evil Queen…Mirror, mirror on the wall.
