Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starring Mr & Mrs Mahi get a new release date. Amid the high anticipation the producer of this upcoming venture Karan Johar revealed the new release. The film was initially scheduled to release on April 19 of this year due to some post production work. Produced under his banner, the actor Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in leading roles. Mr & Mrs Mahi will hit theatres on May 31, 2024
While expressing his connection with the film Karan Johar revealed that it will now hit theatres on May 31, 2024. His post read, “Some films are more than just stories … they are so much more than celluloid love …they talk to the viewer about dreams and how many a time people closest to us can come in the way of our dream.. MR AND MRS MAHI is exceptionally close to our hearts.. and we can’t wait to share our campaign designs with you on Monday… but for now we have a release date!!! 31st MAY 2024!!! At a cinema near you!”
Meanwhile, Janhvi also showed her excitement on social media about the new release date of the movie as she penned, “Love scores a century on May 31st, 2024! #MrAndMrsMahi releasing in cinemas! FINALLLLLLYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!” Her rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya commented on the post writing, “Wooooooooo.”
As per the reports in Mr & Mrs Mahi, Rajkummar will be portraying the character of Mahendra Singh Dhoni while Janhvi would feature in the role of a character called Mahima. In an interview with Mid-Day, Janhvi also revealed that she underwent a six months of intensive training for adapting the mannerisms of a cricketer. The actress said, “It was an exhaustive process of six months to get into the skin of the character and sync into the role.”
Talking about her upcoming film, apart from Mr & Mrs Mahi she will appear in Devara alongside Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan, she is set to star in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari alongside Varun Dhawan and RC16 alongside Ram Charan.
As for Rajkummar, he is currently busy promoting his upcoming Srikanth where he will be seen playing visually impaired Bollant Industries founder Srikant Bholla.
