Actor Samantha finally graced the set of Rakt Brahmand. The actress revealed how glad she was about it as it marked her first time on set after taking a long break for health reasons. On September 19, she shared an Instagram post giving an update on the ongoing filming. In the fantasy drama series the Citadel: Honey Bunny alum will be featured alongside Ali Fazal. Directed by Tumbbad fame Rahi Anil Barve and produced by Raj and DK this upcoming venture will also feature Aditya Roy Kapoor and Wamiqa Gabbi in the pivotal roles. Samantha shared an Instagram post from the set of Rakt Brahmand
On September 19, the actress shared a photo of her notepad covered with a bloody crown that represents the Netflix show, along with a pencil, a backpack, a coffee cup, and a sleep-inducing oil on her desk.
The 37-year-old captioned the post, “Never stop dreaming. Glad to be back on a film set after a while. Rakt Brahmand.”
In July, the show was officially announced as Netflix dropped a grim poster capturing a crown in which blood was dripping all over.
The text in the poster reads, “Rakt Bramhand. The Bloody Kingdom.” Meanwhile, the caption reads, “We’ve got BIGGGGGG news that’ll stir your blood. We’re pumped to announce our first-ever action-fantasy series.”
Raj-DK’s statement on the upcoming series
The creator duo shared a statement on their second collaboration with Netflix previously which noted, “This is uncharted territory which makes it all the more thrilling for us! Our goal is to develop a fictional world that is both original and reminiscent of the fantastical tales we have heard in our childhood.”
They praised the crew adding, “We are having an amazing time working with the very talented Rahi and our uber versatile partner Sita to bring this unique vision to life. Working with Netflix has been excellent and we have their enthusiastic support to back the unconventional vision for Rakt Bramhand!”
Adding to this upcoming series the Hindi adaptation of ‘Citadel’ starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha is also soon to be released in Prime Video is also the duo’s work in front.
The much-awaited fantasy drama is all set to hit the streaming platform on November 7.
