‘Rakt Bramhand: The Bloody Kingdom’, Raj-DK to Collaborate With Netflix for the 2nd time

The famous creator duo Raj-DK is back in the game with this upcoming venture with Netflix. The poster of the upcoming series which is titled ‘Rakt Bramhand: The Bloody Kingdom‘ was announced last week by the famous online streaming platform. Although the star cast of the show is yet to be announced, the most interesting fact is that Rahi Anil Barve who directed a cinematic masterpiece like ‘Tumbbad’  is taking the director’s gig here as well.

With Barve’s name attached the expectations will undoubtedly become high with this project. This is the creator’s second collaboration with Netflix after ‘Guns and Gulaabs’ starring Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan and Adarsh Gourav. Let’s check out the complete details of this story.

‘Rakt Bramhand’ is the first ever action-fantasy of the creators 

The poster features a gorgeous crown in which blood drips from every corner. The caption of the post noted, “We’ve got BIGGGGGG news that’ll stir your blood! We’re pumped to announce our first ever action-fantasy series (sic).”

As per the plotline of the series it revolves around a fantastical kingdom and has a spine-chilling and dark storyline. The filming will soon take off after the cast’s announcement. 

Raj-DK on ‘Rakt Bramhand’

The prominent creator duo has also shared their excitement on their second collaboration with Netflix. They said in a recent interview, “This is uncharted territory which makes it all the more thrilling for us! Our goal is to develop a fictional world that is both original and reminiscent of the fantastical tales we have heard in our childhood.”

The makers also added to the crew, “We are having an amazing time working with the very talented Rahi and our uber versatile partner Sita to bring this unique vision to life. Working with Netflix has been excellent and we have their enthusiastic support to back the unconventional vision for Rakt Bramhand!”

Meanwhile, Vice-President of Content Netflix India, Monika Shergill also expressed her anticipation with the upcoming venture as a second collaboration with the creators after the success of ‘Guns and Gulaabs.’

“After the outstanding success of the genre-bending Guns & Gulaabs, we’re thrilled to team up with the masterful duo of Raj & DK for another defining series. Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom will be Netflix India’s first ever mega action-fantasy series and is set to redefine the genre by combining grand-scale action with a thrilling storyline,” she shared.

Praising the duo Shergill continues, “With creative geniuses like Raj & DK, and the highly talented Rahi Anil Barve leading the project, we are eager to bring this epic adventure to life and entertain audiences everywhere.”

Apart from this upcoming series Raj-DK’s Hindi adaptation of ‘Citadel’, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha is also soon to be released in Prime Video.
