Salma Hayek is not confident to be a part of the award-winning series ‘The White Lotus.’ Although the actress “absolutely” loved working with the show’s writer and producer Mike White she is hesitant to take a part in it. In her recent appearance on Kelly Ripa’s SiriusXM Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast she revealed a lot of facts.
Salma Hayek said It’s hard for her to do series
The 56-year-old recalled working with Mike in the 2017 drama, Beatriz at Dinner, directed by Miguel Arteta. Mike wrote the title role, especially for Hayek. “Oh my god, I love him so much,”- she said in an interview last month.
Meanwhile, the host of the podcast Kelly Ripa revealed that she had a “fantasy” to her Play a role in the fantasy drama. Hayek said, “Absolutely. I would do anything with Mike. I have a fantasy of acting with Mike. We’re so good together.”
Moreover, she explained why they are so compatible together. “Oh, he’s a fantastic actor. We’re very funny together,” Salma explains. “He’s a very, very dear friend. I am obsessed with what he does with sound and how he combines it with images.”
However, the reason for her not being confident about pulling off a role in the series which is returning to HBO with season 3, is her family life. The actress said, “It’s hard for me to do series because I’m still very present with my daughter [Valentina, 14] and my husband [French businessman François-Henri Pinault] and my dogs, and the house. And so I can’t, even though I’m trying to carve out more space, I can’t like say, ‘OK, bye. I’m gonna do a series. See you in three months, in four months.’ I just can’t.”
Although the actress is not able to do any series right now, it will indeed be a treat for her fans to watch her pairing up with White for other projects.
