Sidharth Malhotra and Sara Ali Khan are going to be the new pair of Bollywood. As per the reports of India Today, Sidharth and Sara’s project will be helmed by Deepak Mishra who is best known for his work on the hit web series Panchayat. Moreover, the sources also stated that the movie will be set on the story of a rural folk tale.
Sara, who has been last seen in the Netflix drama Murder Mubarak, has not made her mark in the industry yet. Therefore, this could be a huge opportunity for the actress to please her fandom.
As for Siddharth, his last film action-thriller Yodha didn’t impress the audience much. Thus, the upcoming project can be marked path-breaking for him as well.
Here are some more details about the unnamed project.
Sidharth and Sara’s movie will start filming in 2025
The sources of India Today reported that the movie will depict a beautiful tale of rural life which is a speciality of Mishra.
On top of that, the filming will go on the floor from 2025. However, none of the actors has officially confirmed their involvement with the project.
If it’s true this will be the first time the audience will witness the pair of the Kedarnath star and Shershaah alum.
Earlier, a close source from the movie told Pinkvilla, “It’s a high-on drama and emotional film, set against the backdrop of a folklore deep-rooted in Hindu Mythology. The makers have the vision to create a unique cinematic experience like Kantara with the feature film.”
The source continues, “While Sid is expected to hear the final narration in November, the makers are aiming to take the film on floors in 2nd half of 2025. He will sign the dotted lines once the final narration takes place.”
Apart from the upcoming movie, Siddharth is also in the headlines for starring in ‘Race 4’ alongside Saif Ali Khan which is yet to be confirmed by the makers.
On the other hand, Sara is currently busy in Manali for an untitled film alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. The movie is said to be a spy comedy according to some reports. Also, the actress has Metro In Dino, on her plate which is directed by Anurag Basu.
