Sarah Jessica Parker revealed she doesn’t like Carrie Bradshaw’s signature drink. In her recent appearance on the iHeartPodcast’s Table for Two With Bruce Bozzi, the actress who portrayed Carrie Bradshaw wasn’t a fan of her character’s cocktail of choice. Moreover, she also revealed she didn’t always have a liking of Cosmopolitan.
Sarah Jessica Parker said she never drank cosmopolitans
The 58-year-old actress said, “The ones on the show were that kind of cosmopolitan that you later learn are not the good ones. First of all, ours weren’t real, they were cranberry juice and water. You can go to a bar and be served a cosmopolitan that is just cranberry juice. You know, when it’s almost Bordeaux colored? It’s, like, a pinky kind of Bordeaux.”
Moreover, the actress “never drank cosmopolitans” and “thought they were terrible.” However, she felt it was unfortunate that people gift her that cocktail because of the show’s popularity.
So kindly, people would send them over. I would say thank you and raise a glass and take a sip and think, ‘What is all the fuss about?'” she said.
“I would say I really started drinking cosmopolitans that I chose on my own and would order, I’m going to say like six, seven years ago and I love them,” Parker said. “I don’t know that we ever expected from the show, from drinking them, that it would turn into a thing.”
The popular show stars Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. It’s six-season run ended in 2004. Later on, the Markers also released two movies in 2008 and 2010. Moreover, a decade later it’s spinoff And Just Like That came which is currently telecasting it’s second season.
Needless to say, it’s indeed a shocking revelation for the ‘Sex and the City’ fans.
