Sebastian Stan is just like one of the Blair Waldorf admirers.
In a recent interview with Variety published in September. 19 the actor revealed how he was in love with his Gossip Girl co-star Leighton Meester. Moreover, Stan also became nostalgic about his role as Carter Braizen on the CW series from 2007 to 2011 which became an inseparable part of his personal life. Although the actor didn’t specify the pair indeed dated from 2008 to 2010 which meant they were together during the whole timeline of the series. Sebastian Stan addressed his love life at the time of filming the iconic series
Sebastian told the outlet, “It was the first time I was in serious love with somebody. Walking around the city, seeing these same buildings and streets—life seemed simpler.”
Although the actor didn’t mention the name of the person with whom he had been in love, it’s quite evident from their relationship timeline that he was talking about Leighton.
In fact, Sebastian who has been linked to actress Annabelle Wallis since 2022, has never let his feelings out, however, he did confess his respect for the actress in several moments.
Back in 2009, Sebastian told People, “She’s the most interesting, sophisticated, talented, and extremely funny person that I know. She’s really hilarious.”
Despite not revealing the reason for his and the Country Strong actress’s breakup, he shared why some of his relationships didn’t work out in 2022 during an appearance on the SiriusXM podcast.
“This idea that we often see in Disney movies and in narratives growing up,” Stan added,”you know, childhood stories about this person that’s going to come in and be a protector or savior of some sort—I think we have to reevaluate some of that and understand how those narratives subconsciously influence us as we meet people.”
“Because,” he explained, “we often meet people we’re looking for evidence of certain things that we heard of, and we aren’t really look at who they are.”
In the case of Leighton, she previously disclosed her split with Sebastian was really hard.
The actress who shares 7-year-old daughter Arlo Day and a 4-year-old son, with her husband of 10 years Adam Brody said back in 2012, “I’ve only had one experience where it was really hard and I was really sad when it ended.”
