Let’s see what Selena Gomez had to say after the tons of criticism about her appearance made on the red carpet of the 2023 Golden Globe. The Calm Down Signer definitely did not let her critics down her!
Selena Gomez’s Sarcastically Spoken out Against The Body Shammers
Selena Gomez recently received a lot of harmful comments about her body on Social Media after walking down on the red carpet of the 2023 Golden Globes on Jan. 10. The Only Murders in the Building star, a longtime advocate for body positivity, drew a lot of hate on her body after that.
The pop star spoke while dressed in a beautiful strapless, plum velvet Valentino Fall 2022 Haute Couture gown with puff sleeves and a long train for the event.
At the award show, Selena was nominated for her first Golden Globe, for her amazing performance in her role of Mabel Mora in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.

Later, Selena, 30 did an Instagram Live with her award show date, her little sister Gracie Elliot Teefey, 9, and spoke about sudden weight gain.
Selena said in a TikTok video,” I’m a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays,” before asking her sibling, “Right?”
In response, Gracie said, “Yeah,” after which Selena began laughing.
However, the Pop Star had seen speak out against body shamers before. In April 2022, she opened up about her appearance.
She said on TikTok, “So I be trying to stay skinny, but I went to Jack in the Box and I got four tacos, three egg rolls, onion rings and a spicy chicken sandwich.”
Later continue, “But honestly, I don’t care about my weight because people bitch about it anyway: ‘You’re too small.’ ‘You’re too big.’ ‘That doesn’t fit.’ ‘Meh meh meh meh.'”
She cryptically aims at her critics quoting,” Bitch, I am perfect the way I am. Moral of the story? Bye.”
