Selena Gomez who recently released her new single “Love On” opened up about her blossoming relationship with music producer Benny Blanco. In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1’s New Music Daily, the songstress shared an insight on her and Blanco’s ‘lovely’ relationship. Moreover, she also revealed her admiration and respect for her boyfriend. Gomez and Blanco confirmed their relationship in December 2023 after months of speculation. The couple was already acquainted with each other and even collaborated on hit songs like Gomez’s 2019 song, “I Can’t Get Enough.” Let’s check out what she has revealed.

The 31-year-old told host Lowe, “Without getting into too much detail, I think it’s just really important to meet someone who respects you. And I think it’s really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I’d have to say overall it’s the safest that I feel and it’s been really lovely and I’ve only grown through it, so it’s awesome.”
Apart from discussing her romance Gomez also talked about her latest single “Love On” and the inspiration behind the single which was a time spent in Paris last year.
“The idea is that I was inspired a lot by living in Paris, that for two months I had to work there and I loved just the quality of life and how romantic it felt,” Gomez explained. “And then to kind of feel really happy in my life and actually mean it is so, it’s just like you can tell in my video, I’m just smiling the whole time. It’s such a good feeling.”
The “Love On” music video which was directed by French director Greg Ohrel took the music platforms by storm. As per the Only Murders in the Building star’s music label, Interscope, the single is an “anthemic pop song, inspired by all the time Selena has spent in Paris last year. Throughout the lyrics, Gomez emphasizes the romance of the Parisian lifestyle and the thrill of sharing a new love.”
Needless to say the “Wolf” singer is going strong in her personal life that even her close friends gave a stamp of approval on her relationship. In an interview with People her bestie Nicola Peltz said that Benny talked about Gomez’s relationship. “Benny is so incredible. We love him so much. And he is also an incredible cook,” Nicola, who married Brooklyn Buckingham, in April 2022, “Brooklyn and him love to cook and Selena and I were like, ‘Wow, we really won this.’ “
