Canadian singer Shawn Mendes has postponed his world tour to focus on his mental health. The singer, 23, took it to Instagram and announced the same. In the post, he said that he is pushing back the upcoming three weeks of his concert dates “until further notice”.

In the Instagram post, Mendes wrote, “This breaks my heart to have to say this, but unfortunately I’m going to have to postpone the next three weeks of shows through Uncasville, CT until further notice”. The Canadian singer started his world tour two weeks ago with 87 dates scheduled. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the singer moved the dates to 2023.

The singer pushed back the next three weeks of his concert dates.

The pop sensation further wrote, “I’ve been touring since I was 15 and, to be honest, it’s always been difficult to be on the road away from friends and family. After a few years off the road, I felt like I was ready to dive back in, but that decision was premature and unfortunately, the toll of the road and the pressure caught up to me, and I hit a breaking point”.

Shawn Mendes concluded the post by saying, “After speaking with my team and health professionals, I need to take some time to heal and take care of myself and my mental health, first and foremost. As soon as there are more updates I promise I will let you know love, you guys.” In the comments, Mendes received hundreds and thousands of supportive messages and comments.

Recently, singer Justin Bieber also announced that he had to cancel a few of his concert dates as he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. Mendes commented on Bieber’s post saying, “love you so much. I admire you so much.”

We hope that the singer gets well soon and gets back on the road to see his fans!
