Sofía Vergara gives a hint about where she is in her current modern romance. The actress who recently went official with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman shared an insight into her relationship. In an interview with Us Weekly, the actress gave a cheeky response to her relationship status. The couple first sparked dating rumors in late 2023. Later, the duo went public with their relationship in April as she shared an Instagram Story featuring the surgeon. Let’s check out what Vergara has said about her romantic life.
Sofía Vergara said she’s kind of single
The 52-year-old first asked if she believes New York City is the best place for romance, to which she responded, “Totally.”
“Actually, I was talking yesterday about it,” Sofía told the outlet, “because now I’m single.”
Moreover, she also added that she’s actually “kind of single,” though she didn’t explain where she and Justin currently stand in the romance.
When she’s asked whether the Big Apple is the perfect place to date? Sofía noted, “There’s a more diverse group of people in New York than in L.A. because most of the people are in the entertainment business.”
In fact the Modern Family alum said that N.Y.C. has “people from all over the world—architects, writers, actors, businesspeople.”
At the time when she shared an Instagram story featuring the surgeon she captioned a photo of Justin holding her bandaged leg, adding, “If u ever get a major knee surgery make sure u get a handsome doctor who will sleep with u that night!!!! Luv u Dr @jdsaliman.”
The actress who is mom to son Manolo, 32, from ex-husband Joe Gonzalezromance first sparked romance with Justin after she divorced Joe Manganiello in July 2023 after seven years of marriage.
Vergara also revealed the reason for the separation is because her ex wanted children while she was not ready to embrace motherhood in her 50s.
However, the Magic Mike, alum who is now dating Caitlin O’Connor, didn’t accept the claims and revealed that the marriage didn’t work out “because two people grew apart, and sometimes that happens.”
Vergara also joked about her “J” tattoo as it’s still used for her despite parting ways with Joe.
She quipped, “This one is Joe Manganiello’s initial. But now he’s gone. How lucky can I be that the guy that I’m going out has the same initial? Recycle, recycle!”
