Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello’s fairy tale marriage ended after 7 years. The Modern Family alum and the Magic Mike star announced this devastating news on July 17. They share a joint statement with Page Six. Moreover, the problem in their marriage is quite evident after Vergara celebrated her 51th birthday with her friends in Italy but Manganiello was not present.

On July 17th the pair shared a joint statement with Page Six announcing their separation. They shared, “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
However, none of them have publicly spoken out about their divorce yet. On top of that, Vergara who is mom to 31-year-old son Manolo even celebrated her 51st birthday without her ex-husband. Although, Manganiello has wished his now ex-wife along with their throwback photo, “¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!”
The couple have known each other for a long time before tying the knot in 2015. However , on June 15, 2014 a month after the actress called off her engagement to businessman Nick Loeb the couple started seeing each other. Therefore, they immediately hitted off pretty well and got engaged in December or 2014 and 11 months later tied the knot.
Previously, during an interview with Cosmopolitan U.K. in 2017 Manganiello recalled giving his wife a special anniversary gift. “I wrote her a book as a gift for our first anniversary,” he shared. “It was about how we met—as well as our courting—and was about 40 pages long.”
Unfortunately, the chapter of their love story is over now.
