Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas finally addressed their divorce. The Game Of Thrones star and the Jonas Brothers member posted a statement on their respective Instagram accounts on 6th September. The former couple, who share two daughters together, tied the knot in 2018. However, the cause of their divorce is still unknown.

The 28-year-old actress and the 34-year-old singer said in the statement, “After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
The news of their separation first came out on Sunday,2nd September when it was revealed that the ‘Cake By The Ocean’ singer is appointing a divorce lawyer.
However, as per the sources, the pair didn’t have any bad blood and the singer even wanted to maintain a healthy co-parenting relationship with the actress.
“A parenting plan should be established,” he said in the court documents, “which addresses all parenting issues and contains a timesharing schedule providing for frequent and continuing contact with both parties.”
Joe shared his kids are “residing with their father” in Miami and more U.S. cities amid his tour. On top of that, he added, “It is in the best interests of the minor children that the parties have shared parental responsibility.”
Moreover, as per the court documents the cause of separation is their “irretrievably broken” marriage.
The X-Men actress previously wished the singer his 34th birthday this year by sharing a photo of them wearing matching pyjamas, writing, “Happy birthday handsome.”
Moreover, the last time they were spotted together was in August at the Jonas Brothers New York concert of their ongoing world tour The Tour.
