Daryl Sabara shares his journey to Sobriety. On January 18, during his appearance on wife Meghan Trainor and her brother Ryan Trainor’s Workin’ On It Podcast the Spy Kids alum talked about quitting weed and alcohol. Sabara was facing a tough time due to this substance abuse. However, It seems like he is finally getting his way through it.
Daryl Sabara said he feels great
On January 18, during his appearance on his wife Meghan Trainor and her brother Ryan Trainor’s Workin’ On It Podcast, the actor opened up about his healing journey. He said, “I feel good. I feel great.”
The 30-year-old then explained, “Figuring out that being alone is kind of a trigger for me, I know now when I’m alone to be ready for the little bastard inside my head to be like, ‘Hey buddy. It’s just us now. What are we gonna do?’ And that’s huge to know that it’s comin’ instead of just being, like, going straight to booze or weed.”
The actor also revealed how quitting weed is really hard for him. He said, “That was hard for me because there was no repercussions of weed. I never had like a bad experience with weed. It was only great.”
Later on, Sabara how his therapist helps him to say bye-bye to weed.”She just said, ‘If you wanna be on your A-game, maybe consider full sobriety. And I was like, ‘What the f–k? Of course, I wanna be on my A-game.’ She was like, ‘You’d be surprised. A lot of people don’t.’ But that really sparked something in me to go, ‘OK, you know what? Even though weed’s not, like, necessarily bad for me right now. I don’t need to keep testing it out to wait for it to get worse or to get in a bad spot. So, let’s just try this full sobriety thing.'”-he recalled.
The actor is currently happily raising son Riley, 23 months with his wife Meghan.
