Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink shared the moment when she lied to the show creators to get the role of Max. The actress first featured in the famous Netflix series just at the age of 14 years. On December 6, during her appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show the actress unveiled a lot of facts.
Sadie Sink lied about having a rollerblading experience to get the job
In her recent appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show the 20-year-old talked about her casting process for one of the famous characters of Stranger Things. Taking with the host Jimmy Kimmel, she said, “I joined the show in season two and I was a fan of season one before. All of my friends were watching it and everything. I was in the audition process for Max and I think I had done four callbacks, did the screen test and then I found out that I got the role.”
After getting a call from the creators The Duffer Brothers she didn’t get any time to mold into the character. However, the problem arrived when they asked Sink if she knew how to skateboard which she didn’t. She said, “They sent a skateboard to my house the next day and I had to learn how to do that.”
Then she added, “I said I had rollerblading experience, which is just a lie. And the two don’t go hand-in-hand, so I don’t know why I thought that would mean anything. I had no idea how to do it and I really didn’t like it because the first day I took a pretty hard fall and it just set a bad tone for the entire journey.”
However, fortunately, she got the role as it is evident that she made it work.
The first four seasons of Stranger Things are available on Netflix.
