Within a single week, the film is achieving new heights at the Indian box office. Starting with a moderate opening figure of 55.40 crore the movie registered its highest score on Sunday, 18th August. Stree 2 crossed 283 crore at the box-office
Serves as the fifth film in the Maddock Supernatural Universe since the cliffhanging ending of the first installment in 2018 fans are eagerly waiting for the new parts. Needless to say, the record-breaking box-office collection proves how the film is winning the hearts of the audience in a single week.
The film had an impressive opening with 9.40 crores. On day 1, it crossed the 50 crore mark with the 55.40 collection. On day 2, the collection got a drop as it was a regular working day after the Independence Day holiday with 35.30 crores. On day 3, the film saw progress in the figure after jumping to 45.70 crores. In addition, the greatest growth was witnessed on August 18th Sunday with a massive record of 58.20 crores.
The film also created history at the Indian box office by becoming the fourth-biggest Sunday in the history of Hindi cinema. Lakhs away from suppressing Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan which occupies the third place with 58.50 crores.
The first two ranks are occupied by Shah Rukh Khan’s last year blockbuster Jawan with 71.63 crores and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal with 63.46 crores.
