Tanishk Bagchi recently created an incredible fusion of Bollywood music with the hip-hop genre. Bagchi asserts the move has a motive beyond just a collaboration. Through Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 song, the renowned music composer wants to introduce Indian listers to international artists. The title track of the upcoming movie also features the powerful voice of Punjabi powerhouse Diljit Dosanjh, along with the old voice of Neeraj Shridhar.

During a recent interview with Mid-day Bagchi discusses choosing international R&B icon Pitbull in the title track of the Kartik Aaryan-starrer movie. Let’s check out the complete details of Tanishk Bagchi’s interview.

Tanishk Bagchi said Pitbull incredibly took control of the song

In the interview, the music producer was first asked about how he gets to manage Pitbull for this song.

To which he gave an interesting response noting, that he wanted somebody who could take control of the songs, not just any ordinary rapper with a typical rapping style. Pitbull was indeed someone with the “tonal quality” the makers required.

In case you don’t know, Tanishk Bagchi is the first music producer in the industry to introduce listeners to the genre of “Amapiano.”

For those who don’t know Amapiano is a mixture of deep house, jazz, and kwaito, adding afrobeat elements.

Explaining his vision the musician told the outlet, “my vision is to bring new sounds to Bollywood, just like I did with Afro, which I used for Dance meri rani. Amapiano is a dance version of Afro. The song has different parts—it starts with a different beat, moves into a section with Afro influences, and then [features] Amapiano. Fusions make a song groovy. I know a song like this one will definitely be a rage.

On top of that, he also pointed out international artists are interested in collaborating with India because of its unvanquished and often underexplored talents, while at the same time these collaborations are also giving Indian musicians a chance to showcase their talents globally.

Bagchi, who has been previously criticized a lot for recreating old songs, added of that matter, “I don’t think about the pros and cons. I’m clear about one thing—if I’m offered a recreation project, I’ll put as much effort as I would on an original song. When I’m doing an original number, I will try to make it better than my last one.
