Taylor Swift finally opened up about canceling her Vienna shows after the concerns regarding the concerts being the target of an alleged planned terror plot came out. The ‘Fortnight’ singer also shared a tremendous amount of guilt for canceling the concert suddenly. On August 21, the singer shared an Instagram post about the incident. The tension arises regarding the event after at an Aug. 7 press conference Vienna State Police that they had apprehended two men for having “detailed” plans to carry out an attack. Later the third suspect was also taken into custody following the investigation. Let’s check out what Taylor has shared with her fans.

The “Bad Blood” singer started her post, “The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear, and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many people had planned on coming to those shows. But I was also so grateful to the authorities because thanks to them, we were grieving concerts and not lives.”
Moreover, she explained the reason for taking two weeks to speak up against the terror plot.
The Grammy winner noted, ” Let me be very clear. I am not going to speak about something publicly if I think doing so might provoke those who would want to harm the fans who come to my shows.”
The singer goes on to reveal that her “silence” when it came to her Vienna tour stops held on Aug. 8, Aug. 9, and Aug. 10, was because of “showing restraint and waiting to express yourself at a time when it’s right to,” the 34-year-old continued, “My priority was finishing our European tour safely, and it is with great relief that I can say we did that.”
She also credited her Austrian fans who gathered in the streets to sing her songs which motivated her to make security changes in her subsequent U.K. concerts.
Swift noted, “I was heartened by the love and unity I saw in the fans who banded together. I decided that all of my energy had to go toward helping to protect the nearly half a million people I had coming to see the shows in London.”
The “Lover” singer concluded the post by writing, “London felt like a beautiful dream sequence. All five crowds at Wembley Stadium were bursting with passion, joy, and exuberance. The energy in that stadium was like the most giant bear hug from 92,000 people each night, and it brought me back to a place of carefree calm up there.”
