Actor Bobby Deol officially joined Tamil superstar Vijay’s last film which is tentatively titled Thalapathy 69. The film’s production house KVN Productions, made an official announcement welcoming the Animal star on board. The production house took their social media platform X to share the news with a note including a poster. However, the makers didn’t share many details about his character in the film. Previously, a Deccan Herald reportedly mentioned that Bobby has joined the film as the main villain. Let’s check out the complete details of this story.
Thalapathy 69 is going to be Bobby’s second movie in the south
As speculations started to take off for a long time, the makers finally announced the arrival of Bobby joining Vijay in the last film of his career which is helmed by H Vinoth. On Tuesday, October 1, KVN Productions shared on X: “100% official now, Super happy & excited to announce that @thedeol joins #Thalapathy69 cast #Thalapathy69CastReveal (sic).”
The actor reshared the poster on his Instagram stories by adding, “Super excited to be a part of the project (heart emoji).”
This upcoming venture is going to be his second South project of the actor after his Tamil debut with Suriya in Kanguva.
His incredible performance gained him immense fame as in various promos of Kanguva, he has exceptionally proved his acting talent which has increased his popularity among South Indian cinema lovers.
According to some sources, the casting of Thalapathy 69 reportedly has many even popular names including Pooja Hegde, Mohanlal, and Mamitha Baiju, among others. Moreover, the makers are also going to reveal more names in separate announcements on October 1 as well.
The movie is also seemingly marked to be the last film of south superstar Vijay who is now going to be more focused on his political career as in February of this year, he announced the launch of his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.
Moreover, the makers are yet to unveil the release date and the final title of the film. As for the crew of the movie Venkat K. Narayana’s KVN Productions will back the upcoming venture while Anirudh is going to be the charge of the music production.
Thalapathy 69 is reportedly going to hit the theatres in October of 2025.
