Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma officially announced the arrival of his much anticipated The Great Indian Kapil Show. The show is renewing for next season after its first season came to an end this June. On the occasion of Indian Independence Day Sharma shared a photo featuring a bouquet along with a glimpse of the cast of the upcoming venture. The host has previously promised the viewers that he won’t take long for the new season and as for now it is proved he kept his promise. Let’s dig into all the details of this segment.
The Great Indian Kapil Show is coming soon on Netflix
On August 15, Kapil shared an Instagram story featuring a bouquet along with a glimpse of the cast where he revealed the news of the show’s arrival.
He wrote over the image, “The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2 is on the way. Theme from the Netflix series, The Great India… (sic).”
The announcement comes months after he dropped a hint about renewing the show for another season.
Before the last episode of the 1st season featuring Bollywood actor Karthik Aryan dropped on the online streaming platform, the ‘Firangi’ actor expressed his gratitude towards the audience by sharing the plans for a new season.
Sharma said of the show, “We are grateful for all the love pouring in from across the globe. Collaborating with Netflix for ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ has been a fulfilling experience and on that note, we promise not to keep our audience waiting for too long for the next season. Enjoy the finale episode with Kartik Aaryan this weekend and stay tuned as we gear up for season 2.”
“The Great Indian Kapil Show” has gained a phenomenal response from the audience and has ranked among the top two shows in India since its release.
In addition, the show also created history by becoming the first Indian series to remain on the Global Top 10 Non-English TV list for five weeks on Netflix.
Like the first season, from the snaps of the show’s theme it is confirmed that it’s retaining the previous cast members which includes Kapil Sharma, Krushna Abhishek, Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, and Rajiv Thakur.
However, the makers are yet to officially announce the release date of the much-beloved comedy show.
