‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ Season 2: The Popular Comedy Show is Renewed For New Season

‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ hosted by much-loved actor-comedian Kapil Sharma is all set to come back for a season two. On June 17, Netflix announced the news days before the conclusion of the first season. The first season’s last episode is going to stream from June 22 where actor Karthik Aryan appeared as a guest. This ongoing chapter of, “The Great Indian Kapil Show” featured several renowned celebrities like Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal including international pop star Ed Sheeran. 

As for the cast apart from Sharma, the show also features Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Archana Puran Singh, Kiku Sharda and Rajiv Thakur. Sharma also shared his excitement on the new chapter of the show. Let’s delve into the complete details.

Kapil Sharma said the first season was “wonderful”

Sharing his experience of the first season he noted it was “wonderful” adding the audience would not have to wait for long for the next one.

“We are grateful for all the love pouring in from across the globe. Collaborating with Netflix for ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ has been a fulfilling experience and on that note, we promise not to keep our audience waiting for too long for the next season. Enjoy the finale episode with Kartik Aaryan this weekend and stay tuned as we gear up for season 2,” the host said.

After, ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ hit the streaming platform families chose Netflix for their weekend entertainment as the show has become a joyful tradition for many.

Netflix India’s Series Head Tanya Bami also praised Sharma for giving a blockbuster first season. 

Bami said in a statement,”Kapil’s ability to connect with audiences through his humor is remarkable, making him an iconic comedian in Indian entertainment. Just like the previous season, we’re delighted for audiences worldwide to experience laughter like never before.”

As per the streamer, “The Great Indian Kapil Show” has ranked among the top two shows in India since its release. Moreover, the show also marked as the first Indian series to stay on the Global Top 10 Non-English TV list for five weeks on Netflix, making its success phenomenal. 

Needless to say, it’s incredible news for the fans who have been upset over the end of the first season.
