As June begins, there is a new joy in the air, a joy that celebrates love more than anything else. The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month is presently praised every year in June. An honor to respect the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. The month is celebrated for bringing equality to the LGBTQ+ community. To assure their right to a dignified life. Pride rejoices people coming together. The month is cherished to demonstrate how far LGBTQ+ rights have traversed and how much is still left to achieve.

Pride month

Pride month is about equality, acceptance, acknowledgment, education about the LGBTQ+ community. The month reminds us about pride history, or more all, love and adoration. During this month, we teach others and ourselves about how harmful homophobia is and why we need to dispose of it. It’s tied in with being glad for your identity regardless of who you love.

Pride

Pride month is honored with colorful parades, marches, and many concerts across the whole world. The infamous pride flags are distributed as a symbol of love. The monochrome atmosphere takes a rainbow avatar, people come together unafraid of what their identity is or who they are attracted to, just to show love.

Global pride day is celebrated on the 28th of June, along with the National Coming Out Day on October 11 is very well commemorated in history.

From 1969 up to this point, LGBTQ people and partners have been contending energetically to give LGBTO+ community the option to wed, right for adoption, to begin families, to battle segregation, disdain speech, and disdain wrongdoings, and to just permit LGBTQ+ people to exist.

The beginning of the pride was actually due to the 1969 Stonewall Riots. The Stonewall Uprising was held in New York (USA) on June 28, 1969. At that time, the American constitution has laws that banned homosexuality and the police would regularly raid queer bars and harass the community.

Quite possibly the most mainstream gay bars, Greenwich Village’s Stonewall Inn was raided regularly as well. Notwithstanding, on that specific day in June, the queer community retaliated and fought hard for a few days. This changed the world perpetually, to improve things.

The next year, the first official Pride march was done on the commemoration of the Stonewall Riots, with Christopher Street Liberation Day and the custom has proceeded till date.
