Arya Rajendran of Thiruvananthapuram has created history by becoming the youngest Mayor (Mayor) of the country. Arya is just 21 years old and is doing B.Sc in Mathematics. Arya’s father-in-law is an electrician and his entire family supports CPM. In the recent elections, the LDF won 51 out of 100 wards.

Arya is to be nominated by the party as the Chairman of the Municipal Corporation of Thiruvananthapuram. Arya first felt that her friends were having some kind of prank with her but she realized this victory when she got a call from the party secretariat. Arya’s mother Sreelatha is an LIC agent and her brother works as an automobile engineer in Middle East Asia, both of whom are members of the Communist Party of India.
Connected with politics since childhood
Arya Rajendran has been associated with politics since childhood. She became a member of the children’s organization Bala Sangan at the age of six and Arya is its state president. Arya Bala was the president of Sangam for two years. Apart from this, Arya is also an officer of Students Federation of India.
Arya believes that once she works at the post of mayor, she will not be able to pay full attention to her studies. Arya said that her friends and teachers are really helping a lot, she said how would she make her studies go smoothly.
Health Minister KK Shaleja considers her role model
Arya’s family lives in a small house in Thiruvananthapuram and pays a rent of Rs 6,000 every month. Arya said that my family members never objected to the decision to go into politics. I have visited almost all the districts of the state of Kerala and have only visited Mumbai so far outside Kerala.
Arya considers state Health Minister KK Shaleja as her model, saying she fared much better during the Corona epidemic. Apart from this, she also considers Malayalam poetess, Sugatkumari and writer KR Meera as her role models.
