Tiffany Haddish is looking back to the road of her fertility journey. On July 24, in an interview with The Washington Post
The comedian opens up about the devastating period of her life. Let’s find out what she revealed about her fertility journey.
Tiffany Haddish said she got a uterus shaped like a heart
The 43-year-old comedian said to the outlet, “Well I’m going to be honest with you. this would be my eighth miscarriage.”
Moreover, she also shared the reason for keeping her experience private. As she told, “I’ve got a uterus shaped like a heart. It just won’t keep anything in. I didn’t want people saying: ‘Are you OK? Are you alright?’ Like a wounded animal, I just rather go in a cave by myself. Lick my wounds.”
Previously, this month during her appearance at Rachel Bilson’s Broad Ideas podcast she shared her pain of losing the babies.
“I had a lot of miscarriages,” she shared. “That has a lot to do with the endometriosis and misdiagnosis and all that stuff.”
The Girl Trip actress continues, “Those miscarriages were as painful as a motherf–ker.”
Later on, she shared, “I feel like a piece of my soul died every time. I don’t know if I am capable and I feel like that was God’s birth control telling me, ‘He is not the one. That is not who you are supposed to be having a baby with.'”
The actress who in 2021 parted ways with rapper Common is ready to explore motherhood in a different way. Although she cannot conceive on her own she is taking the path of adoption “maybe at the end of the year, the beginning of next year.”
“I’m looking at five and up, really like seven,” the actress revealed in May 2021, citing the age range of children she’s looking for. “I want them to know that I put in the work and I wanted them.”
We hope her pain will soon come to an end.
