Travis Scott is in legal trouble now. On June 20, the Miami Beach Police Department confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the rapper whose real name is Jacques Webster, has been taken into custody in Miami, Florida, for allegedly trespassing and alleged disorderly intoxication. The “SICKO MODE” rapper was kept at the Miami-Dade Jail on a $500 and a $150 bond for the charges of trespassing and disorderly intoxication. Let’s check out the complete details of this story.
Police reported feeling a strong smell of alcohol from Travis Scott
As per the entertainment agency in the arrest affidavit, police noted that there was a “disturbance” on one of the yachts in the Miami Beach Marina where Scott was “standing by the dock yelling at the vessel occupants.”
Although the police asked Scott to sit down he didn’t listen. They even felt “a strong smell of alcohol” coming from the rapper. Despite leaving the marina in a car, police say five minutes later he returned and began heading back toward the yacht.
After several warnings, he didn’t listen to their order and while he was asked if he had been drinking, Scott replied, “It’s Miami.”
The rapper’s legal trouble doesn’t seem to end soon as less than a month ago Scott was involved in a fight in Cannes, France, which broke out between him and music executive Alexander “AE” Edwards.
At the time, an eyewitness detailed the incident, saying, “Travis Scott and Tyga attended Richie Akiva’s amfAR after party as Richie’s guests. At one point in the evening, both artists were on stage, behind the DJ booth, when Richie announced them both on stage alongside Alexander Edwards, and others. Right after that announcement, Travis immediately snatched the mic out of Richie’s hand, and said, ‘No, we’re not doing this.’ Alexander said, ‘Let him show love.’”
Although Tyga remained behind the DJ booth his assistant eventually joined the fight alongside Edwards.
After the video of the fight went viral on social media the users suggested that the altercation could be related to Kylie Jenner who is ex of both Scott and Tyga.
Jenner had an on-and-off relationship with Tyga from 2015 to 2017 and shortly after their breakup, started dating Scott for five-year that included extended separations. Jenner and Scott even share two children: 6-year-old daughter Stormi and 2-year-old son Aire.
