Popular television personality and former host of the famous talk show The Wendy Williams Show came to an end in 2022 has been diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia and Dementia. On February 22, William’s care team announced the news via an official statement while sharing insights on her condition. Actor Bruce Willis has also been struggling with this disease. The statement shared the details of her condition including how the condition impacted communication abilities and cognitive functions of the TV star. Let’s delve into the full details of this story.
The condition already presented significant hurdles in Wendy’s life
The statement revealed that the condition has started affecting their communication abilities, and cognitive functions and has “already presented significant hurdles in Wendy’s life.”
However, she is getting the proper medical attention required for the condition.
“The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy,” her team revealed, “but to raise awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia and support the thousands of others facing similar circumstances.”
“Unfortunately,” their statement noted, “many individuals diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia face stigma and misunderstanding, particularly when they begin to exhibit behavioural changes but have not yet received a diagnosis.”
Although her condition isn’t totally under control she is still maintaining herself with a good spirit and strength.
The statement concluded by adding, “Most importantly she maintains her trademark sense of humor and is receiving the care she requires to make sure she is protected and that her needs are addressed, She is appreciative of the many kind thoughts and good wishes being sent her way.”

Two days before Wendy’s health update the the premiere of her Lifetime documentary Where is Wendy Williams? In this documentary, the 59-year-old’s talk world will be highlighted along with her health struggle and substance abuse struggle.
On February 2 Lifetime’s EVP and Head of Programming Elaine Frontain Bryant said in a press release about the documentary, “Her story is not finished, There is so much more to it. Nobody truly knew the depths of Wendy’s reality so we hope that what our cameras captured can help shine a light on what she is facing now.”
