Zach Braff is all set to return to his iconic role in the hospital-set sitcom Scrubs reboot. However, the news regarding the post-production is still in the dark and any details about its release haven’t been disclosed yet. As multiple news started to speculate, the actor finally disclosed the reason for its delay. During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight the actor disclosed a lot of facts about the sequel of this hit sitcom. Let’s check out what details he has shared.

Zach Braff said ‘Scrubs’ Reboot gonna happen soon

The 49-year-old actor revealed in his conversation with the entertainment portal that the show is going to take place soon.

He said, “I’m gonna tell you something that nobody else is gonna get. Scrubs is a Disney show. Bill [Lawrence] has a Warner Bros. deal. Once those two companies figure that out, I think the people will get what they want. I think it’s gonna happen.”

Meanwhile, as he was asked about the feeling of reprising his role of Dr. John Michael “J.D.” Dorian, the actor wittily said, “Are you kidding me?”

“It would be so much fun [with] all my favorite people. We all still hang out. A lot of people who were on long shows say that, but it’s true,” he exclaimed. “I was just on vacation with Sarah Chalke… I’m going to the beach with Bill next weekend. We’re all friends.”

The excitement is undoubtedly authentic as Braff is ready to reunite with Scrubs’ Donald Faison as a competitor on the celebrity edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, which will air Aug. 14.

He added of the reunion, “It’s so fun. Obviously, I won’t give any spoilers, but we laughed our butts off. It was really fun.”

On top of that, Zach is also part of an iconic venture, his film Garden State, which will create a new milestone of reaching its 20th anniversary on Aug. 20. The actor stars alongside Natalie Portman in this popular indie drama.

“It did change my life, in that not a day goes by where someone doesn’t say that it was really impactful to them. That means so much to me,” he shared. “I never though 20 years later people would still be talking about it.”

Moreover, teasing the plan of celebrating with his co-stars of the 2004 film, he added, “We’re gonna do something really special. I’ll give you another exclusive. We’re gonna do something really special early next year for the soundtrack, so stay tuned. Natalie may or may not be convinced to participate in that activity.”

For now, fans can see Braff in the Apple TV+ series Bad Monkey which is streaming from Aug. 14.
