Yash Raj Films (YRF) is going to make the 2025 Christmas more merry. The production house has finally unveiled the release date of Alpha, the highly-anticipated spy-thriller. As per the report, this movie is going to be the first female-led spy thriller of the YRF’s spy universe. Starring promising faces like Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, this film is going to be something grand that you’ve never seen before.
Although much details haven’t been revealed about the upcoming venture, looking at the previous spy dramas of the production house we can be certain that it’ll be filled with some heart-heading action sequences and spine-chilling twists. Alpha is the first female-led spy film of YRF
Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Shiv Rawail, this project is going to be a significant milestone for YRF.
Both Alia and Sharvari shared the news by sharing the first poster of the movie which highlighted its release date in big letters which is ‘25th December.’
The film is also going to be released in Tamil and Telugu as well along with Hindi.
The duo shared the post with the caption, “Lighting up the theatres with #Alpha on Christmas 2025!”
Following in the footsteps of the studio’s previous spy blockbusters including Hrithik Roshan starrer War’ and Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ franchise as well as Shah Rukh Khan’s 2023 blockbuster ‘Pathaan’, fans undoubtedly have immense expectations from the upcoming project.
Alia Bhatt’s work in front
The National Award winner has multiple projects lined up in the following year, starting with the 11 October release Jigra, co-starring Vedang Raina and helmed by Vasan Bala who is also serving as a co-producer. Moreover, she’ll also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War alongside her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal.
Vicky and Alia will be reuniting in this movie six years after their blockbuster Raazi, on the other hand, she last shared screen with her hubby in the 2022 fantasy thriller Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva.
Sharvari’s work in front
The Munjya fame actress was last seen with John Abraham in Vedaa. There isn’t any update about her upcoming work apart from the spy-thriller.
