The demise of Ratan Tata: The Indian business tycoon passed away due to multiple organ failure

The glorious era of Tata Industries has faced a devastating loss. Tata’s former chairperson, Ratan Tata, a humble businessman and philanthropist, passed away on October 9 leaving the world in utter grief. Notable for his down-to-earth nature and lovable personality he was loved by each and every person in the country. 

Even his greatest critics would agree on the remarkable life and legacy he has left for the Indian industries. Aged 86 at the time of his death, Mr.Tata had been suffering from age-related health complications that led to low blood pressure causing his health to deteriorate. As per the reports, Heart specialist Dr. Sharukh Aspi Golwala was treating the late businessman.

Life and Legacy of Ratan Tata 

Born on 28 December 1937 in Mumbai he was the son of Naval Tata, the adopted son of Ratanji Tata,  son of the founder of the Tata Group Jamshedji Tata. After meeting architect A. Gili Jones who spent three weeks as architecture design critic at Cornell and later briefly joined Jones & Emmons in Los Angeles till he had to reach back home for his grandmother. 

In 1991, the late public figure achieved his breakthrough as J. R. D. Tata stepped down as chairman of Tata Sons, naming him successor.

Despite facing numerous obstacles in his tenure in implementing a policy designed to amend the retirement age, his risky decision came across as hugely beneficial for the company. 

During his 21 years with his incredible business mind and leadership quality he led the company’s revenue to grow over 40 times, and profit over 50 times.

After the development of the Tata Nano car after the grand success of the Diesel Tata Indica, Ratan ji received immense praise from middle-class Indians due to the car’s affordable price range.

In addition to his growing business, he never missed a chance to help the underprivileged with his multiple funds and trusts.

As for his personal life, Tata remained single and childless throughout his life. However, he shares a close fatherly bond with his personal assistant Shantanu Naidu.

The cause of Ratan Tata’s death 

The news of his demise comes two days after he shared an Instagram post assuring his well-wishers that he’s all right. 

The business tycoon who was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital can’t survive despite the enormous efforts of the doctors. 

Addressing his cause of death Medical specialist, Dr. Sharukh Aspi Golwala, pointed out that Mr.Tata was battling a case of hypotension which worsened due to low blood pressure.

Following Ratan Tata’s passing, the Governments of Maharashtra and Jharkhand announced a day of mourning to honor his legacy.
