BTS finally released the music video for their new single track “Butter”. And with this, the Korean pop group has broken the YouTube premiere records once again.
Fans love their songs because they’re often filled with hidden meanings and references. Usually, fans seek out translations since a majority of their songs are in Korean, but this latest track is in English.
Just as the music video was released it drew about 3.89 million coexisting viewers to its midnight EST premiere. Still, YouTube is expected to release the official premiere numbers in some time.
On Friday, May 21 the ‘Butter’ teaser came out which gave fans an idea of what to expect from the song.
“It’s very energetic. And very summery. It has a very dynamic performance,” RM said of their track. Big Hit also described “Butter” as a song that “will melt its way into the hearts of all ARMY.”
BTS pronounced the single as “a summer song that is somewhat soft and charismatic.”
The video matches the description given by the k-pop group. It opens with an outstanding black-and-white shot of the group in suits before spreading to various other stunning locations with soft lighting.
The band members did incredible dance moves with gymnastics in an elevator.
The lyrics, on the other hand, are not a disappointment. Overall the track is super smooth just like the title suggests – “Butter”. Hence you won’t be able to help but melt, especially during the rap portion.
In August 2020 BTS shattered all records with “Dynamite”. It drew over 3 million concurrent viewers. The English-language single went No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Because of this BTS was able to earn their first top 10 hits on the Billboard radio airplay chart.
This super-hit track earned the biggest 24-hour debut in YouTube history with 101.1 million views. They even left behind Blackpink’s “How You Like That” which had 86.3 million views.
