Travel Ban previously Imposed by the Israeli government is now extended till 13 June as per a joint statement. The ongoing travel ban is imposed on seven countries including India.
The statement was issued by the Ministries of Health and Transport and Prime Ministers Office on Friday. The list includes Ukraine, South Africa, Ethiopia, Brazil, Mexico, and Turkey as per the reports of Xinhua news agency.
In order to visit the listed countries, Israeli citizens and permanent residents should refer to an exceptions committee.
On the other hand, the Israeli citizens or permanent residents who are arriving from the travel ban countries should quarantine. Even the vaccinated people and the people who got recovered from the disease are required to quarantine.
A decision was also made by the Israeli Government that the restriction will also be applied to Russia and Argentina from the upcoming week.
Till now, Israel has observed a total count of 839,429 COVID-19 cases, with 6,406 deaths.
