Why Not Production revealed the first look of Johnny Depp as French monarch King Louis XV in their upcoming film Jeanne du Barry. It will be Depp’s first film after winning the high-profile defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. The Pirates of the Caribbean shocked his fans with his new look. Apparently, Deep is known for experimenting with looks in every film thus there is no doubt before that he will come with a different style again.
Details of the Film
Jeanne du Barry is a historical epic film loosely inspired by the life of Jeanne du Barry. She was the last mistress of French king Louis XV. Why Not Production who previously produced famous films such as Rust and Bone and A Prophet is producing the film. French filmmaker Maïwenn is the director and screenplay writer of the film. Moreover, she will also play the character role in the film. Alongside her,Johnny Depp will be playing the role of French monarch King Louis XV. King Louis XV ruled France from 1715 to 1774. As per the reports of Variety, the 59 year old actor began filming in July of this year. The shooting location will be in France and the Île-de-France region. The production officially revealed Depp’s look on wednesday.
The other cast of the flim includes Benjamin Lavernhe, Pierre Richard, Melvil Poupaud, Noemie Lvovsky, Pascal Greggory and India Hair.

Johnny Deep’s comeback after his famous defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard
Depp is in the limelight since his high-profile defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. He sued Heard over a 2018 article she wrote for The Washington Post.She accused Deep for domestic violence in the article. Deep stand up for the false accusations. However on June 1, Deep wins the case against his ex-wife and also awarded with a $10.30 million dollars settlement. The flim Jeanne du Barry will be marked as his comeback film after winning this case.
