Armys are over the moon right now! K-pop sensation BTS breaks all records again and becomes the first boyband to grab three nominations in the 2023 Grammys. However, this year has been a sweet and sour rollercoaster ride for their fans. As firstly they announced their temporary hiatus as a group after the release of the album Proof’. Therefore, they announced their mandatory military enlistment and take a break from their career. Next month the eldest member Jin,30 is going to enlist in the military. However, this new achievement of them makes all the fans extremely happy as well as emotional.
BTS get three nominations for Grammy 2023
BTS is one of the most popular Korean boy bands in the world and consists of seven members Jin, Suga, RM, J-HOPE, Jimin, V, and JungKook. On November 15, the Grammy nominations were announced (https://www.grammy.com/news/2023-grammy-nominations-complete-winners-nominees-list). They get three nominations for the first time. They were nominated for Best Music Video for ‘Yet To Come. Best album for their collaboration with Coldplay in the song ‘My Universe ‘ and Best Pop Duo.
Moreover, they get Grammy nominations three years in a row. Their first ever get nominations in 2020 Grammy in the category of Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their first ever full English language song Dynamite. Later on, in the previous year, they get nomination in the same category for their song ‘Butter’. However, Armys were really disappointed as the two times they didn’t win. Although they have their hopes high year as they get multiple nominations.
After the nominations announced many Korean media claimed they had done nothing special to get nominations. This news makes the Army furious. However, they are happier than ever.
Needless to say, It’s a milestone for this popular Boy band. We hope they keep on breaking more records as well.
