Maya Hawake shared some rare insights about her life. The actress who is the daughter of two famous parents Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawake also gets in trouble. In her recent appearance on Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen Hawake revealed the worst trouble she has been in.
Maya Hawake said she lied to her father Ethan Hawake
The 24-year-old told the host Cohen she lied to her dad which made him very upset. “I lied. I said I was going to therapy and I really went to lose my virginity,” Maya revealed. “I can’t believe I just said that. My father was very upset.”
The Stranger Things star later on shared how his famous dad has been really strict to her.
“He gave me a really hard time. He went, ‘Where were you? Where did you go?'” Maya revealed. “And I said, ‘How am I supposed to have secrets if I can’t tell lies?”
Moreover, host Cohen said to Hawake, “I would think, knowing your father, that he actually respected that.”
The actress agreed while saying, “He did! He was like, ‘F**k this kid!’ He was like, ‘Oh, that’s good.'”
Meanwhile, she also revealed some fun facts like getting her first car. “A yellow cab. I still don’t have a licence, but I got my learner’s permit last week. Clap for me!”-Maya said.
Although the actress may have been in trouble with her dad, her dad seems to be very proud of her. “I’m so proud of her ’cause I think she does a great job, but I’m most happy for her that she’s surrounded by these other amazing, talented young people,” Ethan said about his daughter. “That was my experience on Dead Poet’s Society, getting to be surrounded by other young people who were in love with the same thing that I was in love with, getting to tell a story that affects your generation.”
