Taylor Swift ended her love story with long-time partner Joe Alwyn. On 8th April a close source of Entertainment Tonight revealed that the couple has ended their six-year-long relationship. The couple called it quits in March before the beginning of Swift’s Eras tour which can explain Joe’s absence from her concerts. Moreover, the source revealed their split was amicable without any drama. It’s really heartbreaking news for their fans as Alwyn is the inspiration for Swift’s many hit songs including “Delicate” and “Gorgeous,” as well as “Call It What You Want.”
The source revealed the breakup is more of the decision of Taylor
The source revealed, “Taylor and Joe are in totally different places in their lives right now. It was more of Taylor’s decision to break up, but both of them realized that they weren’t completely right for one another. They had been together for such a long time and were spending so much time together, but their personalities were just too different. Joe is more introverted, shy and quiet.”
“She’s very focused on touring and her career right now,” it adds. “Taylor has nothing but respect for Joe and really loved and enjoyed all the time and memories she shared with him. They had a deep connection and she really appreciated that. She hopes they can be friendly in the future.”
Previously on Saturday, a source said that their split was amicable and “the relationship had just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows.”
Moreover, the ‘Lavender Haze’ singer seemingly hinted at their breakup on the March 17th concert of her Eras tour. As she didn’t perform on “Invisible String” the song is based on her love story with the British actor.
Swift said to the crowd, “One thing we said about the Eras Tour, ‘You think you can just go online, you think you can just scroll and know the setlist? You think you can just come prepared? Let it be said about the Eras Tour: we’re tricksy. That’s what we are. We enjoy a good, healthy setlist hijinks.”
