NBC released new details of the spinoff of the 2011 legal drama Suits. The popular series which starred Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Meghan Markle and Sarah Rafferty aired for nine long seasons. On Feb. 1 statement to E! News, the television network revealed Harvey Specter played by Mocht won’t be appearing to deliver his famous opening monologue in the upcoming TV show, titled Suits: L.A. Let’s check out the complete details of this most anticipated spin-off.
Suits will follow the storyline of the prosecutor Ted Black
The storyline will follow New York federal prosecutor Ted Black. As per the plot he has reinvented himself as one of the top lawyers in Los Angeles. However, in the pilot episode, Black’s firm has reached a “crisis point.”
“Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives,” NBC revealed. “All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.”
As for the back screencast, Suits creator Aaron Kosh is again putting on the director’s cap in the new series, while Doug Liman will serve as an executive producer on the show. Moreover, the production will begin in Vancouver in March.
On January 7 Adams told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview, “If I got the phone call, I’d be ready to suit up again.I loved the show, I love the characters and I loved working with all these people.”
Previously, Korsh also talked to The Hollywood Reporter about the series,” I sat down to write something in the tone of Entourage that took place on Wall Street. What emerged when I was finished was an hour-long show. I wouldn’t say it was a thriller, but it was much more dramatic, with these plot twists and turns.”
“I certainly didn’t think in a million years that anybody would buy this show. I was just trying to write a sample that someone would maybe read and hire me off,” he added.
“It raised the stakes,” Korsh acknowledged. Because now Mike, who hadn’t graduated college, much less passed the bar, wasn’t just lying his way into a lucrative gig, “he was committing a crime,” said Korsh of Protagonist Mike Ross played by Patrick J. Adams. “and the law also gave us opportunities for all kinds of ethical dilemmas.”
