Millie Bobby Brown reveals how her fiancee Jake Bongiovi proposed to her in an underwater adventure. During an appearance on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon the Strangers Things alum recalled the romantic proposal turned out to be a horrific one as they lost their engagement ring under the water. On April 11, the couple shared the engagement news with a beautiful black and white snap featuring a gorgeous ring, the post was captioned with a line or Taylor Swift’s hit ballad ‘L,over’, writing, “ I’ve loved you three seasons now honey, I want’em all.”

The 20-year-old told host Fallon, “I was like, ‘8 a.m., dive?’ … And he’s telling me, ‘We’re going to the same spot we usually go to, I’m like, ‘It’s boring, let’s go somewhere new.’ He’s like, ‘No, we have to go to this spot.’”
Moreover, Brown recounted, “He gives me like a shell, and I like, turn it over, and it’s a ring.” Considering they were “many meters down.” As neither Brown nor Bongiovi were able to properly communicate the proposal or the acceptance that they had to get creative to convey her answer to the special question.
“This means, ‘I want to go up.’ So that would technically mean, ‘No, I don’t want to marry you, I want to go up,” she told Fallon, adding that she resorted to accepting Bongiovi’s proposal by giving him the “OK” hand symbol. “I think it was underwhelming, but we freaked out,” she shared.
However while they were living the best moment the ring slipped off and “(plummeted), like, so fast it was like a cinematic movie.”
The actress shared, “Jake threw himself, like so deep, like the diver was like, ‘You can’t do that, like, your ears … literally your brain will explode,’ He does a cinematic, like, grab, opens (his hand) and he saved the ring!”
Moreover, she shared that the rescue operation felt like a “reflection of who he is,” Brown said, adding that it made her believe that they “always going to have each other’s back and if anyone drops the ball, we got it.”
The actress also shared Jake, who is Jon Bon Jovi’s plan to propose the actress with her mother’s ring, which Mrs.Bon Jovi refused.
“‘Absolutely not, Jake. You’re not taking my ring down there. I know you’ll drop it.’ And sure enough, I did,” Millie said of her mother-in-law.
However, she got the special ring after they got out of the water as the Enola Holmes star recalled, “He was like, ‘This is your mom’s ring and I got it from your parents,’ And it was very magical and his parents were there and we just looked so disheveled coming out from a dive.”
