Actor Fardeen Khan is all set to make his comeback by sharing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi. The film’s cast unveiled the trailer at a special event today where Fardeen Khan talked about his comeback after nearly 14 years. While sharing the poster Netflix wrote, “Caught in a whirlwind struggle of love and duty, Wali Mohammed attempts to reconcile his heart’s desire with his royal responsibilities. Fardeen Khan makes his spectacular return to the screen as Wali Mohammed.” Let’s check out the complete details of this story.

Talking about his comeback the actor said, “It’s been a very long gap for me, it’s been almost about 14 years. I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity to work with this stellar star cast and a platform like Netflix and of course the man himself, Sanjay Leela Bhansali.”

Fardeen continues, “For me, it’s something I have never done. It was the perfect role for me, I felt, at the age I’m in, to come back to screen.” The actor added that Sanajy’s characters are very “intricate” and “comprehensive”.  

“It’s daunting to work with him (Sanjay Leela Bhansali); at the same time when you see it all together, it just all makes sense.” “I’m getting emotional now,” he says.

Fardeen Khan will play the role of Wali Mohammed, an aristocrat who became a constant visitor of the Heeramandi. Besides Fardeen, Taha Shah Badussha, Shekhar Suman, and Adhyayan Suman will also be seen as Nawabs.

This epic saga has a blend of forbidden desires that clash with societal norms, with an intense background of India’s freedom movement. Narrating the story of courtesans this will also be the OTT debut of Bhansali. Moreover, actresses Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chaddha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh who will be seen as tawaifs or courtesans from having these powerful men under control to be involved in the patriotic movement.
