Prince William is all set to return to his royal duties. On Thursday, the Prince of Wales will reportedly travel to West London and Surrey for a set of engagements about food preservation. The prince will visit the Supper for a food redistribution charity. He will inspect how the surplus food from the area is delivered, sorted and repackaged for delivery to small community organizations. Moreover, he will visit the youth center in West London that is a recipient of the surplus food. Also he will learn the service impacts the youth have on the center. Along With the issue of surplus food he will also address the environmental challenges across the globe.
Also, the heir to the British throne founded the annual fundraising event that celebrates innovative people across the world working to make optimistic changes for the state of the environment named the Earthshot Prize.
The news comes months after William’s wife Princess Cathrine aka Kate Middleton announced the news of his cancer diagnosis and also revealed of going through preventative chemotherapy.
The Princess of Wales appeared in a video shared on March 22 via the Prince and Princess of Wales’s Instagram.
The 42-year-old started the video, “I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding whilst I have been recovering from surgery. It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family.”
Moreover, she also shares, “But I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful. In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However tests after the operation found cancer had been present.”
The Princess who shares kids Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, with the Prince noted, “My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment, This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”
The video concluded, “As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be ok.”
