Tom Holland dropped a hint about the much-anticipated fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise. The British actor hasn’t appeared as Peter Parker (a.k.a. Spider-Man) since 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, revealing how excited he is for the film’s next part. In a recent interview with Deadline, the actor noted everyone wants it to happen so it’s not off the table. Let’s check out the entire update on this much-hyped next franchise.

Tom Holland said he always wanted to do Spider-Man films

The 27-year-old told the outlet, “The simple answer is that I’ll always want to do Spider-Man films. I owe my life and career to Spider-Man. So the simple answer is yes. I’ll always want to do more.”

The actor who is part of the creative process as well noted that he has been “watching and learning.”

“Everyone wants it to happen. But we want to make sure we’re not overdoing the same things,” he added.

No Way Home is notable for Holland’s iconic iteration of Peter coming into direct contact with past Peters in the form of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, returning as their respective Peter Parker roles as well.

Moreover, he is certain that the fourth time we might see him as the iconic Marvel star fighting off evil as he noted, “We have the best in the business working toward whatever the story might be. But until we’ve cracked it, we have a legacy to protect. The third movie was so special in so many ways that we need to make sure we do the right thing.”

Tom first featured as Spider-Man in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. Later on, he played the web-slinger in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming where he met his now girlfriend, Zendaya, who plays his love interest, Michelle “MJ.” The duo later also joined 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, 2019’s blockbuster Spider-Man: Far From Home, and lastly in 2021’s No Way Home.

Previously in late 2023, Holland said in an interview with Collider that he feels “very protective” of the character.

“I won’t make another one for the sake of making another one. It will have to be worth the while of the character,” he shared at that time.

Along with his professional life, the actor is also in the happiest place in his personal life with his girlfriend Zendaya. Previously, the Euphoria alum praised her boyfriend for being her biggest cheerleader.

“It’s great. I mean, I feel so lucky. I have so much beautiful support around me,” the actress told Entertainment Tonight. “Even tonight, I have so many family — they’re over there — family and friends here.”
