Currently, I shuffle between the UK, Lagos, Mumbai and Lucknow. In fact, it has provided me with new opportunities to explore different musical styles and collaborate with artists from around the world. While there may be logistical challenges, I believe that talent transcends borders, and I’m committed to continuing my musical journey wherever it takes me.”

despite the challenges she is living an incredible life in Oversasa as she noted, “Life after marriage has been wonderful! It’s a new chapter filled with love, support, and beautiful moments with my partner. It’s a balance between my personal life, kids, and my career, but I cherish every moment of it.”

As for her perspective on Independent Indian music, she noted, “Independent music in India is thriving and evolving at a rapid pace. I personally have been working on a lot of Independent music. It also makes me more open to collaborations and working with other talented musicians around the globe. It’s incredibly inspiring to see so many talented artists breaking away from traditional norms and expressing themselves authentically through their music. Social media has been a platform for independent musicians to reach a wider audience and showcase their unique sounds.”

Moreover, she also shares her views on the pop star culture in India explaining if it can achieve equal prominence like the West. “India definitely has its own vibrant music scene, but the concept of a pop star culture may differ from what is traditionally seen in the West. In India, film music has been the dominant force, with Bollywood stars often doubling as pop icons. Though, we do see some shift and emergence of individual pop stars who are gaining popularity through social media and live performances. But I feel we are seeing a shift with artists carving out their own identities and fan bases outside of the film industry,” she shared.
