Matthew Perry’s Mom revealed what made her worry for her before his death
In the clip, the heartbroken mother recalled the last conversation with her son adding, “He went through a period, interestingly enough, just before he died when he was showing me one of his new houses. He came up to me and he said, ‘I love you so much, and I’m so happy to be with you now. And I’m so…’ It was almost as though it was a premonition or something.”
In fact, Morrison who is the mother of four other children whom she shares with Dateline correspondent Keith Morrison, whom she married in 1981 found out a different insight of that conversation.
“I didn’t think about it at the time,” she explained, “but I thought, ‘How long has it been since we’ve had a conversation like that?’ It’s been years.”
She shared “There was an inevitability to what was going to happen next to him, and he felt it very strongly.”
On top of that, she also shared the last word of his son which is undoubtedly quite frightening.
Morrison said in the interview which will air on the first death anniversary of the 17 Again actor, “He said, ‘I’m not frightened anymore. And it worried me.”
Moreover, the Friends star’s half-sister Caitlin Morrison also talked about his death in a recent story published in Hello.
“He had this ability to fill up a room with light,” the 43-year-old said. “When people were in a room with him, he had this magnetic energy. Everybody just had a smile on their face and they clung to everything he said.”
As for how she’ll carry on her brother’s legacy, she noted, “The work that I’m doing now is very selfish because it kind of feels like I’m sitting right next to Matthew. Working with him every day on something that was important to him.”
Perry, who died from the acute effects of ketamine, has a trial going on over his death. Also, five people were arrested including the actor’s physician Dr. Mark Chavez who was found guilty for distributing the substance to the late actor earlier this month.
