The actor who is gaining a lot of praise for his upcoming role as “Ken” doll in the new Barbie movie reached a new height. His single “I’m Just Ken” entered the list of the Billboard Hot 100 Song. Needless to say, his new milestone is indeed a treat for his fans.
“I’m Just Ken” placed 87 on the Billboard charts
The song is about an emotional thought of the Ken doll which says how he is living his life just as second best under the shadow of Barbie. The song is also getting viral on TikToks and Instagram reels. Moreover, it achieved a new milestone as it reached 87 places on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
“I’m just Ken / Anywhere else I’d be a ten,” the tormented doll sings. “Is it my destiny to live and die a life of blonde fragility?”
However, it isn’t surprising to see Gosling’s other talents apart from acting. Previously, he showcased his amazing dancing and singing talent in 2016’s Oscar Winning film La La Land.
If you are wondering who wrote the iconic Barbie tune it’s none other than Grammy Award-winning producer Mark Ronson along with Andrew Wyatt.
Talking about the song Ronson said in a Rolling Stone on June 26, “I don’t read a lot of scripts, but it was just everything I want in a movie. I was like, ‘If I don’t get this gig, this is gonna be my favorite movie of the year.”
No wonder, Barbie has become the favorite of a lot of people all around the world since its July 21st premiere. Greta Gerwig’s film made a remarkable opening with a whopping $155 million. Moreover, the film also became the biggest premiere of the year and also the first biggest opening film by a female director.
