Indian singer-actress Anuja Sahai who is known for songs such as ‘Payal’, ‘Pub G Game’, and ‘Munda’ shared that choosing between singing and acting is impossible for her. Anuja raised this topic while addressing that she is often being asked about her preference between her dual profession. In an interview with The Indian Express, Anuja opened up about a lot of facts. Anuja Sahai admitted she prioritised singing and focused more on it
Talking with the outlet the singer-actress noted, “Choosing between singing and acting is just not possible. Both are close to my heart. They are the same, and I don’t differentiate between them. I have always been both a singer and an actor, pursuing both simultaneously. It’s just that I have prioritised singing and focused more on it. I feel knowing acting makes it easier for me to emote and express myself through my voice.”
Addressing her introduction to the world of music she says, “I think music is in my genes.My mother, who is a doctor, is also a trained singer with a visharad in singing. She encouraged me to participate in various singing competitions and the first one I joined was when I was in fourth grade, where I emerged as the winner. Although my mother wanted me to pursue singing as a hobby, I chose to turn it into a career.”
Sahai has recently celebrated her birthday, which was attended by Bhajan Samrat, Anup Jalota also unveiled her song, ‘Kalyug Ka Krishnansh’ which is a contemporary interpretation of traditional themes blending classical and modern ways of storytelling. The song is composed by Sanjay Agarwal and is also sung by Umesh Giri.
She said of this project, “I was thrilled to celebrate my birthday with the release of a song I have been waiting for a long time. As a devotee of Lord Krishna, it is an honour for me to feature in a devotional song dedicated to Him. I feel blessed that Shri Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota graced the occasion and blessed me. The audience may see us collaborating soon. I hope the coming year will be amazing on the work front.”
