Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan’s romance is currently the biggest talk of the town. Back in February The “Please Please Please” singer and Saltburn star confirmed their romance by spending a PDA-filled weekend together with a dinner date at Nobu in Los Angeles. Despite being private about the relationship the duo always publicly seem to weigh for each other. On August 6, the singer during her recent interview with Variety shared a rare insight about her perfect romance with the actor. The hit music video of the song which is part of Carpenter’s sixth studio album Short n’ Sweet features the songstress and The Banshees of Inisherin alum features as a love interest. Their scenes together from the video show Barry engaging in a fistfight, and also robbing a bank at gunpoint. The song’s lyrics also state that the singer is requesting her love interest to not embarrass her.
Sabrina told the outlet, “He loved the song. He’s obsessed with the lyrics, and I’m so grateful for that. I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation. So getting to see him on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and all the more special.”
The 25-year-old also gushed about her boyfriend, “Barry’s a Libra, and so is my sister. They’re very different, but they have similarities. I tend to gravitate towards Leos as well.”
Needless to say, the 31-year-old has always been a proud boyfriend from yelling during the 2024 Met Gala red carpet that Sabrina’s hit single “Espresso,” was “amazing” to supporting performances in the opening of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Singapore, to Coachella 2024.
Moreover, during her performance at the desert concert festival, Carpenter also gave a nod to the Academy nominee with an outro to her song “Nonsense.”
